Jenny Weston - Treasurer



Jenny has been a past president of the NZVA and one of the longest serving members of the DCV Committee.

Jenny completed her degree at Massey in 1993 and worked in Taranaki in dairy practice for the next 8 years before returning to her alma mater.
She now runs the Farm Services Clinic at Massey University and is a Lecturer in Production Animal Health, teaching cattle medicine and obstetrics as well as a variety of tutorials with some being hands-on playing with cows at LATU and some that involve discussion of ACVM issues, pricing in veterinary practice, etc.
She is studying Masters papers in Epidemiology as well as being enrolled part-time for a PhD. Her main areas of research interest are the epidemiology, diagnosis and control of Neospora caninum in cattle.
Jenny also co-ordinates "BAG" the Bovine Appreciation Group for veterinary students, a weekly lecture on a variety of cow-related topics. Feel free to offer your services if you will be in the Palmerston North area.

Jenny has been on the DCV committee since 1997 and has also been a member of the NZVA Board as well as the BestPractice committee and a Director of National Quality Veterinary Services Ltd. She also has interests in endurance riding, breeding Scottish Highland cattle, travel and hopes to have time to do some tramping.
