Matt Wells

Matt qualified from Massey in 1996, and went straight into large animal practice in Otorohanga.  He then spent a couple of years in the UK (where he reinforced that small animals was definitely not for him), and another couple of years in Te Puke.  Matt has now worked for the Animal Health Centre in Morrinsville for the past five years.  His role includes managing technicians, responsibility for the Massey student externship, new graduate support programmes …. and some good old dairy clinical work!

Outside of work, Matt spends time with his wife Lauren and son Liam, who is now a highly opinionated two-year-old.  Matt is also a passionate sports fan, and still has his cricket box in storage in case another injury crisis hits the Black Caps.  He also grows all of his own vegetables, and enjoys creating culinary delights with his produce for friends and family.
